Pick-Up: Your rejuvenating journey begins with a comfortable hotel pickup. A short drive will take you to a traditional Turkish Bath (Hamam) located in the center of Antalya.
Traditional Turkish Bath: The word “Hamam” comes from Arabic and means “warm.” This ancient bathing tradition dates back over 5000 years and is rooted in the oriental approach to wellness and cleansing. The facility features multiple spa-style areas, including a warm-air room, hot steam room (with temperatures between 40°C and 50°C), cooling areas, and dressing rooms. You’ll spend approximately 2 hours indulging in this deeply relaxing experience.
Sauna: Your visit begins in the hot-air room, similar to a sauna, where the heat helps open your pores and prepare your body for cleansing. The room features marble walls and floors, and you can use provided bowls to pour hot or cold water over yourself for the traditional bathing ritual.
Body Scrub: After sweating it out, you’ll move to a warm room where a professional attendant performs a full-body exfoliation using a traditional mitt known as a kese. This scrub helps remove dead skin cells, leaving your skin refreshed and revitalized.
Foam Massage: Once exfoliated, get ready for the signature foam massage. Your body will be covered in soft, fragrant soap bubbles, and the attendant will wash you with gentle, circular movements to soothe your muscles and calm your senses.
Aromatherapy Oil Massage: The final step is a 25-minute full-body aromatherapy oil massage. Your skin will be nourished with rich essential oils as the therapist applies expert techniques to melt away any lingering tension. This relaxing session will leave your skin silky smooth and your body completely at ease.
Return: After the experience, you’ll be driven back to your hotel feeling completely renewed and pampered. The Antalya Turkish Bath is more than just a spa session—it’s a memorable cultural tradition that adds a unique touch to your holiday.
The experience is best suited for adults. Children under 12 are usually not recommended due to the heat and massage treatments.
You don’t need to bring anything. Towels, slippers, and bath products are all provided at the Hamam.
The entire session usually lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours, including steam, scrubbing, foam massage, and aromatherapy oil massage.
